This year, the Erie County Fair and James E. Strates Shows celebrate their 100-year partnership. This exclusive partnership is a historic milestone in the modern amusement industry as it is considered the longest continuous run of any one carnival midway and any one fair in the United States.

Strates Shows provides over 100 rides, games and vendors on the midway each August during the Best 12 Days of Summer in Hamburg, NY.

The Strates Shows Midway features rides, games, sideshows, concessions, and shopping.

If you purchase the weekday one price ride day wristband or 120 credit fun card online, redeem your voucher at the Strates Shows Ticket Booths on the midway during the Fair.

Rides are approximately 6-12 credits each. Credits at .50cents each.

If you purchase your one price ride weekday wristband or fun card online and are having issues, please read the information below.

Q: I ordered my weekday ride wristband/ride card online, how do I redeem my voucher?

A: Visit any ticket booth on the Strates Shows Midway at the Fair to redeem it for your Fun Card or Weekday Ride Wristband. You can either print your ticket voucher or show it on your mobile device. To view your ticket voucher, click on the blue “Access Ticket(s)” box in your receipt email. Your ticket will appear in a browser window, where you can either print it and bring it with you to the Fair, or show it at the Strates Shows Midway Ticket Booth once you are at the Fair.

Q: I can't find my order email, what should I do?

A: No problem! Visit the "Find My Order" webpage. Enter in the email you used at checkout and the last 4 digits of your credit card to access your tickets.

Here for a limited run, August 7-14. Located near the Ferris Wheel on the Midway with showtimes at 1:30, 3:30, 4:30, 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30pm.

A vintage "wall of death" motordrome show returns to the Fair for the first time since the 1970s. Watch as daredevil motorcycle riders defy gravity on a vertical wall, performing high-speed acrobatic tricks.

The thrill arena motordrome is a silo-shaped, wooden cylinder inside a tented structure. The show begins outside of the arena as the bombastic ballyhoo of a carnival “talker” entices fairgoers to “step inside.” Upon entering, guests watch as daredevil riders mount vintage Indian & Harley Davidson motorcycles to defy gravity on a vertical wall, performing high-speed acrobatic tricks. Spectators will experience the loud rattle of screaming motors, smell the burning of squealing tires and will feel the rush of wind as cycles speed past just inches away from view
