Erie County Agricultural Society & Erie County Fair Scholarship Application

Deadline to submit is April 11th, 2025.
Submissions are being accepted online only.
Please read all the below information carefully. Call 716-649-3900 or email scholarship@ecfair.org with any questions.

How To Apply:
• Download the application
- Open the file in Adobe Acrobat where you are able to type in your responses
- Once you have completed filling out the application, save as a PDF
- Important: Make sure to fill in the section of the application that asks for the last four digits of your phone number. It is located in the top right portion of each page.


• If you are a senior in high school, you will need to provide a copy of your most recent grades.
• If you are a college student, you will need to provide a copy of your grades from the fall 2024 semester.
• Fill out the form below and upload your completed application and copy of your grades. The form below must be filled out on a laptop, desktop or tablet. It is not compatible with mobile devices.
• Hand written applications will not be accepted

Eligibility:
• Any High School senior or college student through their junior year.
• Applicants are NOT limited to New York residents.
• Applicants must show participation in the Erie County Fair or Erie County Ag Society Sponsored activities.

Essay Topics
You will type your essays in the application you downloaded under the "How To Apply" section above.
Applications submitted without the following essay questions completed will not be considered.

• Personal Narrative
Please select one of the three choices listed below and in a maximum of 250 words please type an essay based on your choice. **Please do not provide any identifying information such as your first or last name or any family member names.** Points will be deducted for misspellings and poor grammar.
  1. If you could choose a motto or personal mantra to live by, what would it be and why?
  2. If you had the power to solve one global problem, what would it be and how would you tackle it?
  3. Tell us about something you learned outside of school or a formal academic setting that has had a significant impact on your view of Agriculture.
• Financial Information
In no more than five sentences, why do you believe you need, or should receive, financial assistance, such as an Erie County Agricultural Society Scholarship to attend the University/college of your choice? This should include details about family situations such as: care of family members, medical situations, family financial burdens and/or how important it will be for you to work while in college. Please do not provide any identifying information such as your first or last name or any family member names.
